Perfection doesn’t exist. I know some of you might argue with me, but ancient wisdom and nature teaches us that it’s impossible to be perfect. What is perfect anyway? and who decided this? Is your perception of perfection the same as everyone else’s? It’s acceptable to be ambitious, to keep striving to be the best at your job, wanting to ace exams and keeping up with what the neighbours are doing, but new research is revealing that this desire can bring both profits and perils. When something is important to you, yes focus on being your best; but it’s equally…

The present time is literally a “Present.” It’s a gift that needs to be embraced and treasured. Living in the present moment means that you are completely focused on living your dreams, pursuits and aspirations “now” rather than being focused on regrets and things you should have done or didn’t do. Our limiting beliefs are usually caused by our regrets or the things we believe we should have done. Focusing on the past means you are giving up your personal power, hence giving up your life. So many people I coach or speak to tell me that they avoid making…

In todays stressful world negative energy can be found everywhere. People are complaining about life constantly, practicing bad habits in the hope they can bring you down too. It’s easy to influence people negatively through social media, which causes isolation, social anxiety and depression. The emotions spread can influence our thoughts and actions in a bad way so avoiding the sources of negative energy is obligatory if you want to achieve your goals. We can’t control how others are behaving or what they are sharing, but we can develop strategies around what we allow to influence us and control how…

Now that I look back I personally feel that 2016 was incredible. Incredibly inspiring and incredibly challenging. A rollercoaster of mixed emotions; deep sadness as I lost of my father, disappointed and hurt by false judgements by others, yet extreme joy as I landed my dream job, completed my Yoga studies and embarked on a journey into self enquiry. Learning more about myself has given me the power to make better decisions, especially around setting boundaries, how to use my time wisely and knowing what to eliminate as it no longer served me. I felt periods of joy and periods…

The New Year is fast approaching, and with the holiday season already in full swing many people are already starting to talk to me about their new year resolutions. I am personally not an advocate of New Years Resolutions, but I have politely nodded and agreed with people, as most conversations have occurred in social settings. It is common to believe that New Year’s resolutions are the perfect opportunity to start making the changes that people have longed for, the ones they said they would make last week, last month, on Monday’s, before the summer etc, but unfortunately most fail….

I want to share a beautiful story with you today. It’s a story about a Harvard graduate and the Mexican fisherman. I have also shared this with my yoga students over the last few weeks; it resonated with me so much. This year has certainly been a challenging one for me. With my father falling ill and passing away I started to really think about my purpose. I was working very hard at the time with very little result or satisfaction. Long hours, no play, repetitive tasks with no opportunity for self growth or development. We all know what happens to…

I was introduced to hygge few weeks ago in the lobby of a cool hotel in London; The Hoxton. It was a Danish architect that introduced me to hygge. She said “this place can’t be any more hygge” (pronounced Heur-gha) as we shared a laugh, travel adventures and a cup of tea. Initially I thought she was clearing her throat, or just needed a hug, only later to find out that hygge is sweeping London like a storm and everyone is embracing hygge and living “Danishly.” The following day as I swanning around London, I didn’t have to venture too far…

As much as I enjoyed the physical benefits of the Asana practice for some time, it was the connection to my own self-discovery that really ignited my interest in the years to follow. As a Science Graduate with a keen interested in the “non conventional” I was intrigued by the “Yoga Hype” that was brewing in Hollywood at the time. Just months into my practice, which was sporadic, I attended my first Ashram retreat. Naïve and unaware, I was packed and ready for a typical fun week with the girls; good food, a laugh and some yoga, just like Madonna;…

Most of the time it’s not the lack of skills or being unlucky that stops you on your track to “success”; to simply put it, it’s your  mindset that may be preventing you from pushing through to achieve your goals. Sometimes you know you have the resources right at your finger tips, ample time ahead of you and you are most certainly skilful, however you just can’t seem to push through, so excuses take over. When I discuss Mental Blocks with clients, (or Excuses as I like to call them) they are immediately able to see things from a different perspective, or light…

Do you believe in magic? I do. I have relaunched my 30 day challenge; “30 days to magic” and you are welcome to take part at any time. This is a program designed to help you dig deep, gain a better understanding of yourself, identify your capabilities and craft new habit patterns as you move forward. Why 30 days? There are many benefits to a 30 day challenge. Studies show when you do something for 30 days you create a habit/routine. Change can be a scary word, venturing into the unknown can be challenging for a lot of people, but small changes…
